Segway Tours at Disneyland?

I’m going on a trip to Disneyland and just saw a video online about the Segway Tours offered at Disneyland’s Calif. Adventure.

Just wanted to know if any of you did this tour, if so, how is it, was it hard to learn to ride the seway or pretty easy?

Also, a friend of mine is going, I noticed on the disney website that they mentioned no one with physical ailiments can do the tour, they mentioned that you have to be able to get on and off the segway with no assistance and rather quickly, they compared it to climbing a flight of stairs without holding the hand rail which I don’t see how that compares to a segway, it’s only 1 step. Will, my friend has a bad back and bad knees but she can ride a bike, climb stairs and can go on all the rides at disneyland except, Calif. Screemin and Space Mountain, also has no problem walking. For those who ever rode a segway, do you think her minor condition will oppose any problems.

    This is about the Disney World tours, but I imagine the Segway ones will be very similar. At least the way people felt about how easy/hard to use the Segway will be helpful to you. If your friend can ride a bike and climb stairs, I don’t think it will be a problem. But I do understand that pretty much everyone falls off at least once while trying it for the first time, so make sure she feels comfortable with that.
